Prepare for a possible red-carpet Clash of the Titans: John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston are going to the Oscars. Which means they could bump into Oscar nominees Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
"It's my first Oscars," Mayer tells Pop Sugar. "And it's my first being an Oscar boyfriend." (We assume that means he's going with Aniston, who's rumored to be a presenter. Of course, they could all avoid the red carpet and never see each other, per the new Oscar plan asking some presenters not to do the red carpet and help build suspense.)
Whatever happens Sunday, Mayer promises we won't see or hear from him in a while after that. "I have a deal almost signed in blood that says I must go into the studio and finish this record," Mayer continues. "So after Oscar Sunday, Monday morning, I'm invisible." Mayer says it's his "goal" to not be on blogs for "at least three months. That would mean I'm working," he tells Pop Sugar."So it was great to win some Grammys, but I'm happy to get back to work.
