TRACY, CA - Authorities arrested three men in connection with the gang-related shooting death of Spenser Sampson, 21, Friday night.
Tracy Police spokesman Tony Sheneman said Roberto Arias, 19, Martin Flores, 21, and Armando Hernandez-Valencia, 20, were located and taken into custody Saturday for Sampson's murder. Sheneman said all three men live in Tracy and are known to have gang ties.
Investigators were still piecing together details of the fatal shooting that happened just after 10 p.m. in the 1200 block of East Street, one of three gang-related incidents Friday night.
Witnesses told police Arias, Flores and Hernandez-Valencia approached a group of people standing on a sidewalk. At least one of the men pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots at the group, fatally injuring Sampson. The suspects fled the scene in a dark colored sedan.
Sheneman said Sampson was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead three hours later.
