SACRAMENTO - An scuffle between a officer and a civilian on the vintage streets of Old Sacramento could have passed for a reenactment of the Wild West on Thursday afternoon.
According to Sacramento police reports, an officer noticed 45-year-old Paul McDonald yelling and wildly waving his arms and fists at passersby on K St. When the officer approached McDonald, he became confrontational and began punching him in the face and body repeatedly, according to the report.
The officer eventually wrestled McDonald to the ground where the two grappled until police reinforcements arrived and assisted in taking McDonald into custody.
McDonald was arrested on a charge of felony assault on an officer.
