STOCKTON, CA - A Tracy teacher arrested for allegedly molesting a student last fall is being accused of sexually abusing a total of 12 children over several time periods since 2006.
Darrel J. Golden, 59, was arraigned in San Joaquin County Superior Court Tuesday after a county grand jury handed down their indictment last Friday. Golden, who is a fourth grade teacher at Anthony C. Traina Elementary School, faces allegations he touched the victims in a sexual manner from 2006-2007, 2011-2012 and fall, 2012.
The children: 10 girls and two boys, were 7 to 10 years old at the time of the offenses. The indictment did not say where the children were violated. Golden was charged with 33 offenses, most of them felony lewd acts on a child.
Golden came to the attention of authorities last November when a school employee reported seeing him allegedly inappropriately touching a student.
Golden was arrested Monday for felony lewd acts on a child, felony continued sexual abuse of a child, and misdemeanor child molestation.
