STOCKTON, CA - A Stockton police spokesman said late Monday twin brothers arrested last week were being linked to at least three recent homicides and several non-fatal shootings.

Tyrone Sotolongo and Jerone Sotolongo, both 19,  were in court Monday on a variety of charges, but it was late in the day that it was learned the brothers have alleged involvement in two homicides from 2012 and one more in 2011.  Police Officer Joe Silva wouldn't say which specific killings the brothers were allegedly connected to.

Stockton police confirmed to News10 the brothers are being considered persons of interest in the Victory Park homicide that happened in September of 2012.

Police said 60-year-old Armando Pino was shot and killed by two suspects over his gold chain.

"Its overwhelming knowing it could be a possibility of confirmation," said Armando Pina's daughter, Rita Pina.

In court Monday, the brothers were given bail amounts of $1.3 million and $4.75 million.  Silva said investigators hope those high amounts will encourage other people to step forward with more information, knowing the suspects are very likely to be in jail for a long time.
