CARMICHAEL, CA - Jesuit's star quarterback Thomas Sperbeck, the son of Sacramento State head football coach Marshall Sperbeck, officially signed his name on the dotted line to play for the Boise State Broncos.

Sperbeck will make the transition to either free safety or wide receiver instead of playing quarterback for Chris Peterson's Broncos.

"After I took all my visits and I met the coaching staff at Boise State, and saw the town and all the teammates, it was a pretty clear decision," said Sperbeck at Wednesday morning's signing ceremony Wednesday morning at Jesuit High School. "I loved it there."

Sperbeck also said Broncos head coach Chris Peterson was the main reason for his decision to sign at Boise State.
