Firefighters put out fire at Sacramento Nissan dealership.
SACRAMENTO - An SUV and two pickup trucks were badly damaged in a fire at the Maita Nissan dealership on Auburn Boulevard near Fulton Avenue Thursday morning.
When Sacramento Metro firefighters arrived around 4:31 a.m., they discovered a Nissan Pathfinder and two Nissan Titan trucks ablaze. Crews were able to extinguish the fires before they spread to other vehicles or neighboring businesses.
A Nissan Frontier also had heat damage from the fires.
Sacramento Metro spokeswoman Michelle Eidam said an arson investigator determined a gasoline theft sparked an explosion which started the fire.
Anyone with information about the person or persons responsible for the gas theft and fire was urged to call Metro's arson tip line at (916) 859-3775.
