Two pit bulls got in a backyard in south Sacramento and mauled two small dogs, killing one of them, Dec. 13, 2012.
SACRAMENTO, CA - Two pit bulls without identification tags apparently broke through a backyard fence and mauled two small dogs in south Sacramento Thursday afternoon.
According to preliminary information, the owner of a home in the area of Calvine Road and Carlin Avenue went into the yard to find their Chihuahua dead and Pomeranian badly injured.
The surviving dog was taken to a veterinarian.
Animal Control was called and captured the pit bulls a few block away without incident.
The owner of the pit bulls has not been found.
