ROSEVILLE, CA - A man who hit and killed a tow driver on the side of the road in Placer County last March and then fled was sentenced to four years in state prison Thursday.
Christopher Michael Keller entered a no contest plea to felony hit and run causing death in the March 12 crash that killed 30-year-old David Robinson Jr. of Citrus Heights. Robinson was a tow truck driver who had stopped on the right shoulder of westbound Interstate 80 near Ophir that day.

An investigation led to the arrest of Keller at his Newcastle home five days later.
In return for Keller's no contest plea, Placer County Assistant District Attorney Jeffrey Wilson said a felony heroin possession charge against the defendant was dropped.
Keller has been in custody in Placer County Jail since his arrest March 20.
