STOCKTON- A woman is dead and another man was injured after they were shot inside a car Saturday night.
Stockton Police responded to Mist Trail Drive and Paintbrush Drive at 10:49p.m. for a report of two people that had been shot.
Officers found a 27-year-old female and 27-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. Two other people were inside the parked vehicle with the victims, when an unknown suspect or suspects fired shots at them, police said.
Both shooting victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The 27-year-old female victim died of her injuries Sunday morning, police said.
The 27-year-old male victim was transferred to UC Davis Medical Center and is in critical but stable condition, police said.
