STOCKTON, CA - A man is dead after a shooting in south Stockton Tuesday afternoon.
Stockton police responded to the shooting at Henry Long Park around 3 p.m., Officer Joe Silva said.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 23-year-old victim who was shot at least once.
A neighbor said he heard three shots fired.
Silva said the victim died at the hospital after being transported.
No suspects have been detained in connection to the shooting; the motive behind the shooting is unclear.
This is the 29th homicide so far this year; last year this time, there were 12 homicides.
