SACRAMENTO, CA - Under a new agreement between the Union and Govenor Jerry Brown, California Highway Patrol Officers will be furloughed, The Sacramento Bee reported Friday.
The deal will furlough eight officers per month starting July first.
CHP officers have never been furloughed before, but union officials say its members understand they need to make sacrifices, given the State's $15B budget crisis.
