A fire official said the man was buried from his chest down and responders used special equipment to free him. The man was given oxygen and was monitored while the silo was drained of enough grain to free him.
The man's condition wasn't immediately known although during the ordeal he complained of leg pain. He was tranported to an area hospital to be checked.
Yolo County firefighters did not disclose the man's name or how he fell into the grain.
