Meet the Experts:
Chip Conrad is the owner of Bodytribe Fitness and the guy who is going to whip our two participants into shape. Chip incorporates unique and fun techniques in his training as a way to take the blahs out of your workout.
Cathy Carmichael is a registered dietician who is going to guide Kevin and Michelle into a healthy eating lifestyle. She'll help them set nutritional goals by keeping track of their daily food intake.
Week 1
The Workout In the first week of our series, Chip starts out with some basic but tough exercises that leave our participants breathless.
The Food
Cathy assigns homework by giving Michelle and Kevin their very own Food Journals! They are instructed to write down their food intake with calories. We'll check in next week to see how they do!
Week 2 The Workout
The second week of our four-part series finds Kevin and Michelle a little sore, but motivated and excited about their new workout routines.
The Food
The results are in! Kevin and Michelle turn in their "homework" to Cathy and find how they did with their food journals.
Week 3 The Workout This week finds our Summertime Shape-up participants getting a lot better at their push ups. How long can they keep this up before it gets boring? Chip has some tips on how to avoid the workout blahs.
The Food All this working out is making Kevin and Michelle really hungry. What's a healthy person to snack on without resorting to vending machine no-no's? Cathy shares some of her healthy snackin' tips.
Week 4 The Workout The last week of our Summertime Shape-up series takes us back to basics as Chip explains how to use proper form when lifting weights.
