Sacramento has become a go-to destination for independent filmmakers looking for diverse and talented actors, skilled production support and a variety of flexible shooting locations.
A new film that is in production called "Ivy" is a period piece set in the segregated south during the 1950's. The film has been a two year labor of love for the producers and director and recently went into production this past June shot entirely in Sacramento. The film is expected to be completed next year and tonight, the creative team behind the project are hosting a special screening showing completed clips from the movie. Hosts Guy Farris and Jodie Moreno discusss the movie and growing filmmaking industry within the Sacramento region with producers Lexa Credo and Big "Spence" Spencers who also are stars in the movie.
