Ingredients
4 cups of plain flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon splenda or sugar (optional)
2 cups raisins (optional)
2 cups of buttermilk
Directions
Mix in all dry ingredients through a sieve. Mix in raisins add buttermilk. Form into a round loaf. Place on baking sheet and cut a cross in the top with a floured knife.
Bake at 430 degrees for 35 minutes.
Serve with butter or jam. |
