Ingredients
1 Each 9" pie shell
3 large eggs(room temperature)
1 cup corn syrup (light or dark)
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 teaspoon salted butter (melted)
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 1/2 chopped pecans
Sweet whipped cream (to taste)
Directions
Preheat oven at 350 degrees. In a bowl combine the eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar,melted butter,and vanilla. Whisk until blended. Scatter the pecans evenly inside the pie shell, carefully pour the egg mixture evenly over the pecans, being carefully not to disturb them.
Bake until filling is set and slightly puffed and the center still giggles slightly when the pan is gently shaken, about 30 minutes.
Let cool on a rack. Serve warm in a room temperature, topped with shipped cream, if is desired. |
