If you didn't know it already, chocolate is not only good to eat, but it can also benefit a person's health. For instance, dark chocolate is known to be full of heart healthy antioxidants, and can both lower blood pressure and bad cholesterol. However, when it comes down to it, no matter how good it is for your body, chocolate is good for the soul too. No one knows this fact better than the most recent winner of the California State Fair's Ghirardelli Chocolate Championship.
When we heard about her winning recipe, we were more than happy to have 23 year old Lauren Kramp on the show step us through the dessert that won her the blue ribbon. She competed against nearly 25 other people for chocolaty bragging rights, and it was so good...she even beat out her own mother!
